Bible Verses

“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing.”
God is described here as the God of hope, not only the giver of hope.
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
This passage invites full-hearted trust beyond what we can understand.
“Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”
Trust involves committing your way to God, not merely waiting anxiously.
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”
Peace and trust are closely connected in this promise.
“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort.”
God is named here as the God of all comfort, not only some comfort.
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me.”
The promise is not that valleys disappear, but that God is present in them.
“Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.”
Jesus speaks blessing over those who mourn and promises comfort.
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Faith gives spiritual weight to hope when we cannot yet see the outcome.

When you feel lost, Proverbs 3:5-6 is a strong starting point: 'In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.' You do not need to see the whole path — just the next step.
Scripture does not promise a clear map for every season. It promises a Guide. Isaiah 42:16 says God leads the blind by ways they have not known. The path may be unclear to you without being unclear to Him.
James 1:5 says to ask God for wisdom and He will give it generously. Psalm 25:4-5 is a prayer for God to show His ways. Both are useful when the next step is not obvious.
Proverbs 3:5-6 is one of the most helpful: acknowledge God in all your ways and He will make your paths straight.
James 1:5 says to ask God for wisdom when you lack it — He gives it generously. Isaiah 42:16 promises God leads even when you cannot see the path.
